The Opportunity:
Scope of the Position
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong client relationships within the HVAC-R and food equipment industry, driving sales growth, and ensuring our customers receive the best solutions for their business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow a strong customer base, fostering long-term relationships with HVAC-R and food equipment professionals.
- Actively prospect and identify new business opportunities to expand market reach.
- Engage in consultative selling, providing technical insights and product recommendations tailored to customer needs.
- Conduct regular customer visits to build rapport, identify opportunities, and address concerns.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, attending product and sales meetings to remain knowledgeable about the latest HVAC-R and food equipment solutions.
- Present and demonstrate products to customers, ensuring they understand the benefits and applications.
- Maintain accurate sales records and customer interactions in CRM software.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining a strong gross profit margin.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service, operations, and suppliers, to provide seamless customer support.
- Participate in annual inventory counts and contribute to operational efficiency.
- Travel within the territory as needed to service customers and attend industry events.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the HVAC-R, refrigeration, or food equipment industry.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems, with the ability to discuss technical aspects with customers.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and close sales.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset, with a proactive approach to business development.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in CRM and productivity software for tracking sales and managing customer relationships.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for customer visits and travel as needed.
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced sales environment.
