Position Overview

The Marketing & Social Media Manager is responsible for executing and implementing the Company's marketing plans. Areas of responsibility include social media, content creation, digital advertising, and packaging design. This role will support the Marketing Director in achieving business objectives through effective marketing efforts.

Major Responsibilities

  1. Social Media Execution: Implement and maintain the company's social media strategy. Create, schedule and monitor social media content, including copy, static posts, and videos/reels. Interact with platform users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, comments or consumer complaints. Last but not least, monitor social media channels for industry trends.
  2. Digital Advertising: Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns using demand-side platforms (DSP) such as StackAdapt. Discuss goals and needs, design ads, and place ads on digital platforms.
  3. Campaign Optimization: Analyze performance of social & digital campaigns and implement optimizations throughout the duration of the campaigns.
  4. Search Engine Optimization: Plan and implement SEO strategies to optimize search and improve website traffic and online visibility. Update corporate and brand websites accordingly.
  5. Content Creation: Create copy and graphic content, manage video content creation with the agency, and repurpose video content through video editing software to maximize created content usage.
  6. Packaging Design: Develop packaging design concepts using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and brand guidelines. Produce final high res pre-press files.
  7. Graphic Design: Design materials related to marketing campaigns and sales tools, such as display ads or sell sheets.
  8. Email Marketing: Create and send email marketing campaigns to support business objectives.
  9. New Product Development: Coordinate between multifunctional teams for all new product development, ensuring successful launch and marketing of new products.

Key Success Measures

  • Marketing efforts improve brand indicators like awareness, perception, and usage.
  • Digital & Social media advertising campaigns meet or exceed target metrics (CPM, click-through rates, conversions, etc.)
  • Search engine marketing and optimization efforts improve website traffic and online visibility
  • Email marketing campaigns meet or exceeds industry open and click through rates.
  • Packaging design meets regulatory requirements and brand guidelines
  • Assigned projects completion

Qualifications & Considerations for the Position

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field
  • 5+ years' experience working in marketing, with a focus on social media, digital advertising, content creation, and graphic / packaging design.
  • Hands on experience in social/digital campaigns, SEO, SEM, and Email marketing.
  • Certification in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is an asset
  • Experience in demand-side platform (DSP) media, such as StackAdapt.
  • Experience working in an agency is a plus
  • Copywriting and editing skills specific to social media platforms
  • Analytical skills & Project management skills
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Proven organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and work independently with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high work volumes and multiple priorities with consistent high quality and adherence to strict deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and consistent with a strong team work attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Bilingualism an asset (English, French)
  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools
