About the Position
The Associate, Salesforce is responsible for assisting with the management and optimization of MaRS Salesforce environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth operations through user management, data integrity, system configuration, and troubleshooting. Additionally, this role assists in automating processes and managing third-party integrations to enhance efficiency across departments.
This is a 1-year contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Salesforce Administration & User Support
- Manage user accounts, roles, profiles, and permission sets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce-related issues for end users across multiple departments.
- Assist with training and onboarding new users to improve adoption and system efficiency.
- Data Management & System Maintenance
- Ensure data integrity through routine cleanup, deduplication, and validation.
- Support data imports and exports using tools like Data Loader and Import Wizard.
- Maintain documentation for system changes, workflows, and best practices.
- System Configuration & Process Automation
- Assist in configuring Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and validation rules.
- Support the creation and maintenance of declarative automation tools like Flow and Process Builder.
- Test and deploy system enhancements while ensuring minimal disruption to users.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Build and modify reports and dashboards to provide insights to different business units.
- Assist stakeholders in understanding and utilizing data to support decision-making.
- Integration Support
- Assist in managing and troubleshooting third-party integrations connected to Salesforce.
- Work with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth system interoperability.
- Act as Salesforce Ambassador, supporting business users in their use of Salesforce and other SaaS tools and provide timely problem resolution/system training
Qualifications
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (equivalent experience will be considered).
- 1-2 years of Hands-on experience with Salesforce administration and configuration, including:
- User management
- Reports - Create and update reports, dashboards, and workflows to meet business needs.
- System Configuration Familiarity with custom fields, page layouts, record types, and validation rules.
- Data Management Ability to perform data imports/exports and maintain clean, accurate records.
- Automation Basics Understanding of Flow, Process Builder, and other Salesforce automation tools.
- Salesforce Integrations - Basic understanding of Salesforce integrations (e.g., APIs, third-party tools).
- Eagerness to Learn:
- A growth mindset and willingness to continuously learn Salesforce features and updates.
- Interest in pursuing Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator).
- Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and end-users.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Range: $$60,000 - $75,000, extended healthcare benefits, lifestyle spending account, and paid time-off.
