What Youll Do:

The Account Manager, Business Services is responsible for managing a diverse and often complex portfolio of commercial loans and deposit relationships. This role proactively develops in-depth relationships with members to identify their evolving financial needs. In addition to conducting regular risk assessments, the Account Manager is required to structure credit solutions that require an elevated level of expertise.

Member Service & Relationship Management

  • Deliver outstanding service to business members, identifying their financial needs and recommending solutions.
  • Assess credit requests, approve loans within limits, and present financing proposals to members.
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities and promote Credit Union solutions.
  • Travel to meet members at their place of business as needed.

Credit & Risk Management

  • Manage loan portfolios by conducting reviews, processing renewals, and ensuring compliance with reporting and documentation requirements.
  • Follow up on delinquent loans and overdrawn accounts, recommending and implementing collection actions when necessary.

Departmental Support & Engagement

  • Support community initiatives through volunteering and events.
  • Assist and back up other team members as needed.

What You Have:

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a College Diploma with a focus in Business/Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, service management, and business lending within the financial services industry.

Skills and Abilities

  • Relationship Management: Possesses strong judgment and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, partners and members.
  • Financial Acumen:Ability to analyze financial statements with experience in financial analysis.
  • Organizational Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail and the ability to process information accurately and efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrates a proactive approach to embracing change, remaining flexible and positive while readily adjusting to new circumstances and effectively managing shifting priorities.
  • Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel between branch locations as required.
