Title: Program Manager - YSHORE

Reports to: Director

Based at: Community

Employment Type: Full Time, 35+ hrs /week

Hours: Flexibility in Scheduling Required

Wage Range: $24 - $28/hr based on experience and education

Supporting Contracts: Homelessness Partnering Strategy

Duties & Responsibilities (Outcomes to be monitored quarterly) Program Development & Support
  • Oversee general operations and administration of the program
  • Develop program structure & program specific training
  • Gather, document, & track statistics as required
  • Plan, administer & control budgets for programs, equipment and support services
  • Establish rapport & liaise with MSS representatives
  • Primary program contact for MSS & referrals
  • Prepare reports and briefs as required
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current Agency procedures and guidelines
  • Liaise internally between Y-SHORE and other SCP programs
  • Attend in bi-weekly meetings with CHIP (Centralized Housing Intake Process) agencies
  • Assist in front line work when scheduling permits
  • Other tasks as assigned
Staff Development & Support
  • Review & revise job descriptions and responsibilities
  • Review & revise program operation manuals as required
  • Develop & Support Y-SHORE Team
    • Collaborate with Personnel Coordinator & Case Manager to fill team vacancies
    • Identify training and skill gaps & recommend training opportunities
    • Conduct check ins and reviews
    • Provide timely feedback and coaching
    • Apply SCP disciplinary policy as required
    • Update Personnel Files
    • Crisis Support
Youth/Team Support and Case Management
  • Create opportunities for community and cultural connection
  • Facilitate educational & recreational outings
  • Prioritize specific life skill development and healthy lifestyles
  • Develop and provide individual and group services and programming to youth
  • Develop short and long term youth outcomes that are acceptable to all stakeholders
  • Advocate for youth in the community & mediate when conflict arises
Quality Assurance
  • Ensure that quality improvement becomes central to the evolution of the program
  • Ensure the Y-SHORE program meet or exceed industry standards & best practices
  • Ensure the Y-SHORE program complies with current agency policies & guidelines
  • Ensure that contractual obligations are being consistently met or exceeded
  • Ensure financial health of the program
  • Adhere to both agency and funder reporting requirements
  • Review, edit, and finalize all incident and disclosure reports
  • Communication with community supports
  • Track and report outcomes
