About the Role
The position is a full-time hybrid role based in Metro Vancouver or a full-time remote role based in Calgary Metro. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sales and can establish rapport with customers. The Account Executive will sell dental practice management software to new customers.
Responsibilities
Business Development (hunting for new business)
Prospect for new business by:
- Using direct methods such as cold calling and face-to-face meetings (drop-ins) to connect with prospective customers
- Attending networking events and trade shows.
- Leveraging social media to reach prospective customers and raise awareness of the ClearDent brand within the assigned territory.
- Working proactively with 3rd party and partner companies to nurture referral-based business opportunities.
Manage the sales lifecycle from qualifying to closing new business
Qualify new sales opportunities and convert them into new business by:
- Determining customer needs by completing a thorough needs analysis/
- Consulting with prospects about business challenges and requirements, as well as each option's range of options and cost benefits.
- Conducting software demonstrations to highlight our product's capabilities and align our solutions to prospective customers' business problems.
- Maintaining a high level of relevant domain knowledge to have meaningful conversations with prospects.
- Work with technical staff (Implementation team and Product team) when needed to address customer requirements.
- Preparing competitive and compelling customer proposals that differentiate ClearDent from our competition.
- Establish clear next steps with prospective customers to advance the sale quickly.
- Working with delivery teams to successfully implement new business and customer satisfaction.
Sales Territory Management
Develop and refine an individual sales strategy to ensure successful outcomes by:
- Developing and maintaining territory plans, which outline how you will meet the sales targets continuously.
- Developing and maintaining key account plans that identify opportunities for the company to deliver value, strategic motivators, main stakeholders, buying processes, and forecasted sales.
- Creating incentives to entice prospective customers to choose ClearDent.
Sales Administration
Manage a clear and organized pipeline of business opportunities by:
- Keeping detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions in CRM.
- Reporting on sales activity.
- Providing forecasts on the best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant periods.
- Other duties as may be required and assigned by the Manager.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in an outside dental technology sales role
- Resides in Metro Vancouver or Calgary Metro is preferred
- Know the Western Canada dental market
- Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Comfortable with technology, strong computer skills
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a business-related field
- Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Atlassian, Confluence, and Jira
