Job Title: Golf Caddie

Location: Eagle Ranch Resort, Invermere BC

Position Type: Part-Time / Seasonal (Casual)

The resort's centrepiece is a championship par 72 golf course designed to challenge players of all abilities.

Reporting to the Golf Manager/Caddie Master, the Caddie will provide top-tier service to guests by assisting them with their golf experience. You will carry golf bags, offer advice on club selection, maintain the pace of play, and ensure that each guest enjoys a world-class golfing experience in a luxurious and picturesque setting. As an integral member of the Golf Operations team, your goal is to exceed and anticipate guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities


Bag Handling & Course Navigation:

  • Safely carry or transport golf bags and equipment for players.
  • Assist players in getting to the next hole, using knowledge of the course layout to guide them efficiently.
  • Ensure the proper placement and handling of clubs to avoid damage.

Course Knowledge & Game Assistance:

  • Provide players with advice on club selection, distance, and course conditions.
  • Offer insight into the golf course layout, hazards, pin placement, and wind conditions to improve their play.
  • Assist with reading greens, helping with strategies for putting, and suggesting optimal play routes.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure guests feel valued and attended to throughout their golfing experience.
  • Engage in friendly, professional conversation, making guests feel welcome while maintaining the standard of service expected in a luxury resort.
  • Provide personalized recommendations for additional services or resort amenities.

Pace of Play Management:

  • Maintain an appropriate pace of play, ensuring the group stays on schedule and others on the course are not delayed.

Safety & Etiquette:

  • Ensure guests follow proper golf etiquette, including respect for the course, other players, and staff.
  • Be attentive to the safety of players, ensuring they are aware of any potential hazards on the course.

Qualifications


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to carry two golf bags weighing up to 35 pounds each while walking the course.

Skills & Experience:

  • General golf knowledge (you should be able to play or offer guidance to golfers, though professional expertise is not required as training will be provided).
  • Outgoing and guest-focused personality.

Other Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on business demand
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Adherence to all Health and Safety procedures.
  • Valid Class 5 driving license.

Local applicants preferred.

Compensation

This is a seasonal role that runs from late April to mid-October. Compensation ranges from $17.40 to $28.00 per hour, with an opportunity to earn gratuities.
