Under supervision of the Event Services Supervisor, this position provides leadership and direction to the Event Services Custodians to complete the setup and teardown of events; implements the details and requirements of the events, as provided by the Events Coordinator, Duty Manager, and the client.
Typical Duties:
- Participates in and ensures that the room setup is complete according to event detail sheets in a timely manner. Assigns and directs the Event Services setup staff to ensure the room set-ups are complete for the client. Performs final review of the room setup to ensure accuracy.
- Communicates with the Duty Manager or the client throughout the event, ensuring all needs are met.
- Ensures the room teardown is completed in a timely manner.
- Amends setup sheets through consultation with Event Coordinator, Duty Manager and the client or through attendance at weekly events meetings.
- Provides direction to the Event Services cleaning staff, as required.
- Communicates, orally and in writing, with the next shift to ensure tasks are completed.
- Ensures electronic and printed signage are maintained and in place for the building.
- Responds to radio calls.
- Fills last minute requirements for staffing.
