We are looking for a Quality Inspector who has custom machine shop experience. The Inspector ensures the standards of production are followed to achieve the set quality standards. Their duties include preparing documents outlining the standards of operation, providing them to employees, and working with managers to enact and maintain new standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Execute Quality Control functions including metrology, document control, inspection operations
  • Execute Quality Assurance functions including calibration, defect analysis, NCR processing.
  • Reads and interprets technical drawings
  • Perform incoming dimensional checks.
  • Comfortable with precision instruments such as Vernier, caliper, micro-meter, thread gauge
  • Uses gauges and measuring instruments to ensure tolerance requirements are met.
  • Generates NCR when required
  • Communicate all deficiencies to QA and Production Managers via NCR and CA
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Apply 5S concepts
  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
  • Other duties as specified by the Quality Manager
Requirements:
  • Physical:
    • Sitting, Standing, and Walking.
    • Carrying, Stooping, Lifting and Reaching.
    • Lifting Requirements: Up to 40 pounds.
  • Mental
    • Math.
    • The use of the English language, both oral and written.
    • Requires daily communication with multiple departments to insure maximum efficiency.
Education & Skills:
  • OSSD High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical School Diploma, Trade Certificate or Equivalent Certificate of Qualifications
Experience:
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a related manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and maintains excellent follow-through and follow-up.
  • Exceptional communication and technical skills
  • Performs well in a fast-paced environment and can multitask with ease.
  • Superior organizational skill and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Understanding of metrology
  • Proficient in English language, both Oral and Written.
  • Capable of communicating clearly and concisely to all personnel.
  • Requires daily communication with multiple departments to insure maximum efficiency.

Monday to Friday - Afternoon shift
2:30pm to 11:00pm
