Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Superintendent with experience in high-rise buildings to join their team.
Job Summary:The Senior Superintendent will oversee the on-site execution of high-rise residential and mixed-use projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in leading large-scale high-rise projects and managing complex construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for high-rise projects from start to completion.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and trades to ensure project schedules and deadlines are met.
Implement and enforce site safety programs, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Maintain quality control standards and conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets specifications.
Manage site logistics, including scheduling of trades, deliveries, and material handling.
Review project drawings and specifications to identify and resolve any potential issues.
Monitor project costs and support cost-control initiatives.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Mentor and supervise site staff, including Assistant Superintendents and Foremen.
Report on project progress, risks, and any site challenges to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:Minimum of 10+ years of experience in construction, with at least 5 years as a Superintendent on high-rise projects (10+ storeys).
Strong knowledge of high-rise concrete construction, curtain wall systems, and finishing processes.
Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of Ontario Building Code, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Strong communication and team management skills.
Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite.
Gold Seal Certification (GSC) or relevant construction management credentials are an asset.
