About the Role

Reporting to the Station Manager, the Tool Hand with Steelhaus Tryton Canada is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and execution of assigned field operations and shop-related duties.

Field-Based Tool Installation, Operation, Assembly, and Redress

Maintain and service work truck and tools for 24 client response.

Install, operate, assemble, and rebuild downhole tools following client, engineering, safety, and QA/QC guidelines.

Complete functional testing of downhole tools at a field level, ensuring site-specific factors are considered in the operation of downhole tools.

Troubleshoot field issues and communicate with the on-site rep to complete task efficiently.

Work closely with the Field Operations Manager to provide feedback to improve the reliability and durability of downhole tools.

Inventory Control and Management

Maintain an accurate and timely inventory/record of tool usage for rental tools.

Provide field tickets to reflect redress and replacement of field-used tools.

Required Abilities, Knowledge, and Experience

Physical capability to safely lift, bend and twist carrying heavy material up to 50 lbs.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge in:

o Completions, or

o Multi-stage fracturing.

Coil operations knowledge is an asset.

Frac operations knowledge is an asset.

Service rig operations knowledge is an asset.

Skilled in using basic hand, power, and air-actuated tools.

Ability to calculate differential pressures.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Proven ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.

Demonstrated ability to make frequent, complex decisions and work well under pressure with multiple deadlines.

Excellent customer service skills with highly developed interpersonal, organization, and communication skills.
