Job Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our team and support the successful execution of institutional construction projects in Toronto. This role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to grow their career in construction project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing institutional new build projects from pre-construction to completion.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Support the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and reports.
- Assist with contract administration, RFIs, change orders, and procurement.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Maintain project documentation and communicate updates with stakeholders.
- Identify and help resolve project risks and challenges proactively.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years in construction, ideally with a general contractor working on institutional projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in MS Office, project management software (MS Project, Procore, Primavera), and Bluebeam.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
