YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Provide product-based engineering support for manufacture and test of high-power amplifiers, including all aspects of safety, quality, process, and test yield improvements
  • Responsible for configuration maintenance, including BOM development & verification
  • Develop and maintain product manufacturing technical documentation and technical instructions, including the definition, optimization, and verification of manufacturing processes, method sheets, assembly and test procedures, and inspection plans
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with Product Design Group to resolve technical design issues
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with factory product team to prioritize and resolve technical issues to meet or exceed all customer requirements, including quality, cost, and delivery
  • Perform RF testing of high-power amplifiers (HPAs) across satellite communication frequency bands.
  • Operate RF test equipment, including PNA, VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, waveguide couplers and power meters.
  • Conduct critical RF tests such as: VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio), Gain Measurement, Output Power Verification, Noise Power Density Analysis, Noise Power Ratio Evaluation, Phase Noise Measurement, Intermodulation Distortion (IM3) Analysis, Spectral Regrowth Testing, Group Delay Measurement
  • Troubleshoot RF test failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze RF performance data and ensure compliance with amplifier specifications.
  • Support production and engineering teams in test process optimization and automation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test results, failure analysis.
  • Participate in team activities for product improvements and new product / option release; ensure DFM requirements are achieved for new product introduction
  • Ensure effective communication of technical requirements to suppliers and resolve any technical concerns, participate in supplier improvement initiatives and resolution of performance problems
  • Work with Quality department to monitor factory yield, investigate root cause(s)
  • Provide engineering support for the development of test jigs, fixtures, and gauges

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in RF Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Experience in RF testing, troubleshooting, and amplifier characterization.
  • Hands-on knowledge of modulation techniques for RF testing.
  • Proficiency with test automation tools and software is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-power RF amplifier production.
