Job Description

As a Hydrogeologist for FLINT, you will bring demonstrated skills and experience executing hydrogeological, investigative and monitoring work, and in providing practical solutions to address the characterization, development, management, protection, and remediation of groundwater resources. In addition to strong technical skills, you'll also have a solid background in the development of technical scopes of work, proposal preparation, and the successful delivery of projects, meeting high standards for quality and client satisfaction. This position will require working outdoors in the field in various weather conditions and a willingness to travel to various sites across western Canada.

What would you be doing?

  • Analyze and interpret hydrogeological information and prepare hydrogeological technical reports for submission to clients and regulators.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hydrogeological findings and interpretations with those of other scientific, planning, and engineering disciplines.
  • Help ensure successful project delivery with respect to health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction.
  • Prepare proposals and contribute to the development and execution of service line, business sector, and client business development plans.
  • Liaise and build relationships with clients and ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Mentor junior hydrogeologists and participate in internal and external training/mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of hydrogeology, water resource management, and contaminant transport modeling.
  • Proficiency in hydrogeology software and data management tools.
  • Experience designing, supervising, and analyzing aquifer testing and monitoring programs.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or geosciences, with eligibility as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) or Engineer (P.Eng.). Master's degree is an asset.
