The Restaurant Operations Manager is a crucial leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of JC's Hot Bagels. This position ensures smooth, efficient service, maintains high standards of quality, and fosters a positive work environment.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures.
- Manage equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Provide coaching and feedback to staff, promoting professional development.
- Resolve staff conflicts and address performance issues.
- Conduct regular staff meetings.

- Customer Service:
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.

RequirementsQualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (including local Burlington, Ontario regulations).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Financial literacy and experience with budgeting and inventory management.
- Experience with POS systems (specify any system that is used at JC's Hot Bagels).
- A passion for food and customer service, with a focus on serving the Burlington community.
- Valid Food Handler's Certificate (or ability to obtain one prior to employment).
- Experience with hiring, training, and managing staff.
- Understanding of local labor laws.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada.
- Previous experience with bagel or bakery operations.
- Post-secondary education in hospitality management or a related field.
- Familiarity with the Burlington food service market.
