About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day financial and accounting processes for Wisedocs. You will be responsible for running the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the business including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, payroll, monthly bookkeeping, month-end & year-end accounting and reconciliation tasks. The ideal candidate functions with an exceptional level of accuracy, confidentiality, judgement and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates the day-to-day financial operations for the Company

• Reviews, prepares and processes accounts payable and receivable transactions

• Lead financial audit preparations and evidence collection procedures; respond to auditors requests

• Financial Reporting for internal & external stakeholders

• Review Financial Controls and Accounting Policies regularly

• Implement and/or monitor Financial Controls and Internal Accounting Procedures

• Develops and maintains a variety of financial reports on an on-going basis

• Assists in the preparation and development of budget proposals and models

• Monitors account activity and ensures the accuracy and validity of all account transactions, in keeping with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

• Responds to queries from internal staff and external stakeholders regarding financial issues

• Reconciles procurement card transactions online monthly, including allocation of credit card transactions to appropriate accounts.

• Administers the compensation of Company employees liaising with external payroll companies as appropriate

• Assists Program Directors and Supervisors with financial monitoring

• Manages expense accounts, time sheets, travel, vacation schedules and budgets.

• Supports purchases, invoices and expenses

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• University degree degree in business administration, finance, accounting or other relevant field.

• Experience at a major accounting audit firm is preferred

• 2+ years of experience in accounting/financial management and administrative experience in an organizationally relevant environment.

• Demonstrated knowledge of standard accounting practices, audit management, account administration experience, and demonstrated bookkeeping competency.

• A financial or accounting designation is considered an asset.

• Exceptional level of accuracy and confidentiality

• High attention to details and highly organized
