Scarlet Security & Risk Group (SSRG) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our leadership team in Kitimat, British Columbia. This is a fly in/ fly out position which oversees a unionized guard force and leads a wide variety of operational projects. First-class accommodations and food are provided, as well as travel by private and commercial plane.

Duties Include:
- Hiring and training security guard personnel in various roles on the project
- Coordinating and completing projects within specific timeframes, as set out by the Project Manager
- Touring the project grounds on a continuous basis to monitor guard personnel and ensure conditions are safe
- Conducting sensitive and confidential investigations on behalf of SSRG
- Managing employee performance
- Planning, developing, and leading emergency response exercises and fulfilling emergency response roles as required
Requirements:
- 2 years of security experience and thorough working knowledge of security operations
- 3 years of supervisor experience
- Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- The ability to interpret and apply policy, various levels of legislation and the terms of a Collective Agreement
- Physically fit and able to walk for extended periods
- Must reside in or near cities of Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Kitimat and Terrace
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and alcohol and drug test.
Qualifications:
- Valid British Columbia Security License
- Basic/Level 1 First Aid Certificate (required)
- High school education
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and acceptable Driver's Abstract
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Must be able to pass criminal record check
Additional Information:
- Full uniform provided, including PPE. Applicants need to provide their own black, 6 inch CSA approved safety boots (boot allowance provided).
- 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation
- 12-hour shifts (both day and night shifts)
- The position is excluded from union membership
