Reporting to the Director of IT, the Jr. System Administrator works closely with other System Administrators and Desktop Support teams, and is responsible for the maintenance of servers, switches, desktops, and applications.

In this role you will:

• Works with Systems Administrator team to install, configure, tune, monitor, troubleshoot and test server, storage and network systems and services.
• Support Senior sysadmins in looking after day to day of Storage and backup.
• Produces detailed documentation for servers and networking infrastructure, as well as procedural documentation for general maintenance of Linux and Windows servers and workstations.
• Where possible, provides support for corporate application servers as requested by the Sr. Systems Administrators.
• Working with and maintaining SCCM and Foreman servers for imaging.
• Looking into daily security reports and logs, and prioritizing security alerts that are received.
• Maintenance, performance and disaster recovery of Linux render farm, 500+ servers.
• Help with maintenance and cleanliness of the datacenter. Moving servers and racks and help with running power and network cables.
• Managing day to day of Google workspace and Microsoft 365 including Intune and Entra.
• Develop and provide training and technical documentation for Desktop Support staff.
• Logs requests and resolutions in soft-copy format, creates and publishes FAQ list, and documents procedures and common tasks for Desktop Support staff.
• Works with Desktop Support team to maintain and support company employees through ticketing system, and other ways of communication.
• Works with Desktop Support team to maintain and support corporate and accounting users and systems and servers, including Windows, Macintosh and Linux machines.
• Coordinates projects for the Desktop Support team and updates Director of IT and Sr. System Administrators.
  

Need to have:

• Real work experience building and deploying servers and workstations in a corporate environment.
• Extensive experience supporting Red Hat flavoured Linux systems, Microsoft Windows 10/11, Macintosh OSX, and mobile devices.
• General experience managing 2-3 person projects.
• Experience with data management, backup and archival processes, and system performance monitoring and tuning.
• Good experience managing both Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
  

Nice to have:

• Successful completion of a recognized public or private course in Computer Systems, Information Technology, or Technical Support.
  
• 4+ years working in a technical support capacity in a mid to large size company preferably within an artistic/production environment or industry.
