Position Overview:
Our design team is expanding, and were looking for a talented, detail-oriented Junior Production Designer to turn ideas into high-quality visuals and bring creative concepts to life!
As a Junior Production Designer, you will play a key role in creating personalized designs, preparing files for print production, and translating written or verbal concepts into high-quality visuals. Your work will align with brand guidelines while exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create personalized designs using our in-house Image Engine within Salesforce.
- Design advertisements and ad pages for publications
- Download and review client artwork using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Proof and adjust files to meet technical specifications, including size, resolution, and margins, ensuring compatibility with company templates
- Develop high-quality products following brand guidelines and project specifications
- Prepare and assemble products for print production
- Conduct preflight checks, edit and impose files for output, and ensure final quality control
- Maintain proofing protocols to uphold product integrity
- Perform image research to support design projects
- Consistently meet deadlines and adhere to production schedules
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management
Required Experience and Skills:
- 1 year of design experience is preferred
- Diploma in Graphic Design or a related field is required
- Strong conceptual skills, typography knowledge, and an eye for balance, proportion, and color
- Strong Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of both web and print design
- Strong English spelling and grammar skills (copywriting experience is an asset)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
Salary:$50,000 annually
Work Schedule & Location:This is a full-time Monday-Friday role that is located onsite at our office in Richmond, BC.
