As an Account Director, you will take the helm in steering our account teams towards excellence. This senior-level role is pivotal in crafting and executing client strategies, fostering revenue growth both within existing client relationships and through new business ventures. Beyond client-centric responsibilities, you'll provide visionary agency direction, optimizing processes and procedures for enhanced team efficiency, fostering growth, nurturing our company culture, and ensuring unparallel client satisfaction, retention, and acquisition.
What you'll be expected to do:
- Oversee, ideate, and manage strategic communication campaigns that align with client objectives and deliver measurable results.
- Serve as the primary strategic advisor for a diverse portfolio of accounts, guiding your team through the daily operations and ensuring alignment across all activities.
- Act as the main point of contact between the agency and clients, building strong relationships and anticipating client needs.
- Lead strategic planning sessions and collaborate with the team to enhance client satisfaction and drive innovation.
- Drive business profitability through effective budget planning, forecasting, and management while also ensuring that strategies and executions meet predefined KPIs.
- Lead business development efforts, preparing and presenting pitches to secure new partnerships.
- Maintain creative excellence and ensure communication strategies are effective across traditional, social, and digital channels.
- Mentor and coach new hires and existing team members, promoting growth and consistent performance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Supervise and enhance the performance of account teams to ensure high-quality work and client satisfaction.
- Draft, review, and edit communication materials, including key messages, pitch notes, and PR plans.
- Conduct media outreach and engagement to meet client KPIs and enhance visibility.
- Reinforce company culture, protocols, and standards within the team to maintain a positive work environment.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement, innovation, and exceptional client service.
- Promote and reinforce company culture and protocols within the team.
What you bring to the table:
- 6+ years of leadership experience in the PR agency world, with a proven track record of driving client success and delivering impactful communication strategies.
- Creative, self-motivated, and results-oriented problem solver with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
- Proven experience managing teams in PR, marketing, advertising, or related roles within the agency and/or in-house environments.
- Extensive knowledge of the beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and P&G industries, supported by a strong network of media and industry contacts, particularly within the Canadian media landscape and the Toronto media scene.
- Strategic thinker with a business development mindset, skilled at identifying new growth opportunities and creating innovative solutions to maximize client success.
- Exceptional leadership skills, capable of motivating teams towards achieving outstanding results and maintaining creative excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering strong client relationships and effective collaboration with internal teams.
- Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute highly creative campaigns that meet and exceed client expectations.
