We are seeking a skilled 2D Art Generalist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating design requirements into high-quality concept art, supporting the artistic vision, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities include developing character and environment concepts, creating photorealistic and stylized textures, and producing high-quality 2D assets to support the 3D department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create character and environment concepts aligned with the project's artistic direction.
- Develop organic and hard surface textures to achieve desired visual aesthetics for characters, props, and environments.
- Produce high-quality rendered 2D assets for use in 3D department projections.
- Generate mood paintings, animation designs, and prop concepts.
- Rapidly sketch and produce digital illustrations to visualize initial project ideas.
- Enhance existing illustrations with screenshot paint-overs and retakes to refine project direction.
- Communicate visual concepts effectively within the team.
- Iterate on concepts to ensure alignment with the artistic vision.
- Develop detailed sketches from selected concepts.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in digital art tools such as Photoshop, Painter, or equivalent.
- Ability to iterate quickly on concepts with input from the Team Lead.
- Openness to receiving and providing constructive criticism.
- Strong understanding of mood, lighting, form, shape, and composition in conveying artistic intent.
- Keen eye for environmental design, including light, value, color, staging, and detail.
- Ability to translate ideas from concept to real-time game content.
- Solid foundation in traditional art, encompassing figure drawing, landscape painting, and illustration.
- Self-motivated, effective communicator, and enthusiastic team player.
- Willingness to share knowledge and support team growth.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as MidJourney and Stable Diffusion is considered an asset.
