About the role:

Were currently looking for an IT Systems Manager to work from our Vancouver office to oversee the strategy, design, support, maintenance, and enhancement of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes managing servers, networks, desktops, telephony, support services, and infrastructure applications. This role ensures optimal performance, security, availability, and reliability of IT systems and oversees IT support for the organization.

Our information technology team ensures our systems and applications are running smoothly, helping us to work smarter, not harder. Together, these cross-functional experts are evolving DMCLs tech infrastructure and sharing their vision for how well continue to integrate technology in the future to provide our clients with cutting-edge services.

How youll make a difference:

  • Overseeing day-to-day IT operations ensures all systems run efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring productivity across the organization.Implementing process improvements and security measures strengthens the overall infrastructure, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Managing vendor relationships and project life cycles will enable the organization to stay ahead of technological needs and deliver scalable IT solutions.
  • Leading the IT team and fostering continuous improvement will create a more agile and effective IT department that can adapt to the companys evolving needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and end-user equipment.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, contributing to organizational initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the support and maintenance of specific systems.
  • Lead and develop the IT Systems team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Act as the primary technical and communication liaison between end users and IT for system-related support and operations.
  • Lead projects for the design, procurement, installation, and lifecycle management of IT infrastructure and end-user hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT leadership to identify and propose effective solutions.
  • Manage relationships with infrastructure vendors and external consultants, serving as the primary point of escalation.
  • Ensure IT systems comply with security standards and policies.
  • Conduct regular security audits, process audits, and vulnerability assessments.Manage the IT systems budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
  • Respond to security incidents and implement appropriate remediation measures.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT systems management, supporting 200+ end users.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in network management and modern telephony systems.
  • Experience managing data center and cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Experience managing third-party service providers.
  • Strong Microsoft background, including Intune, Entra, Teams, and the M365 suite.
  • Proven experience in leading projects, preferably with PMP or related designation.
  • Proficient in Information Security, preferably with CISM or a related designation.
  • Relevant degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting software is an asset.
  • Ability to travel within British Columbia to work in our 4 office locations
