Our company is growing and we are looking for a highly motivated and team player professional to join our Accounting team as a Financial Reporting Associateat our Maple Ridge Head Office.

This is a long-term, full-time employment opportunity, reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager.

The Financial Reporting Associate will...

• Create, prepare, develop and/or assist with monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting
• Develop monthly Work on Hand Reports
• Work with purchasing and inventory departments on necessary accounting functions including purchase orders and stock transactions
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of departmental budgets
• Print and provide various cost reports for other members/departments of the company
• Record shop order transactions
• Assist with month, quarter and year-end activities
• Record and post journal entries as required
• Assist with A/R, A/P and payroll as require
• Assist with other bookkeeping functions as required
• File as required
• Perform other office-related duties as required

Education and Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.
• A post-secondary degree/diploma in finance/accounting is required.
• Formal education in accounting and/or Finance from a Canadian institution is a strong asset.
• Experience with a large-scale ERP system is required.
• Inventory experience is an asset.
• Proficient in working with Microsoft Office.
• Experience in the construction industry would be considered an asset.
• Full-cycle accounting experience is an asset.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered.
• Enrollment in the CPA program is considered an asset.

Work Conditions

PMP employees work a standard 40-hour work week, but hours of work may vary based on business requirements from time to time.

This is a full-time, office-based position.

Compensation: $60,000 to $70,000/year + 5% RRSP + 100% Company-Paid Health & Dental Benefits + Life Insurance + LTD + AD&D benefits.
