With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and collaboration, our client designs world-class solutions that enhance connectivity and improve the built environment.As their Toronto studio continues to grow, they are seeking a Project Architect to lead the design and execution of transformative projects across Canada.Role OverviewThe Project Architect will oversee the design, coordination, and technical execution of complex TOC and residential projects. This role requires strong leadership, critical thinking, and the ability to guide teams from concept through construction administration (CA) while ensuring projects stay on time and budget.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Drive problem-solving, critical thinking, and design progression.
- Oversee project execution, coordination, and client communication to maintain schedules and budgets.
- Ensure technical accuracy, compliance with building codes, and seamless integration of design solutions.
- Guide teams through contract controls, project scopes, and rigorous execution.
- Present designs and strategies in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to feasibility studies and proposals that can be marketed to developers.
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch, M.Arch) and registered or eligible for OAA registration.
- 8+ years of experience in transit-oriented communities (TOC) and large-scale residential projects (mandatory).
- Strong technical expertise and experience guiding projects through design, contract administration, and construction.
- Experience with zoning reviews, planning applications, and local authorities.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows.
- Experience working with Metrolinx and on high-rise buildings is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to set scopes of work and oversee project execution without handling detailed feasibility studies.
