POSITION:

Pipeline Mechanical & Facilities Engineer Licensed to stamp engineering work in Texas, Massachusetts, Illinois and Tennessee.


The Pipeline Mechanical & Facilities Engineer is responsible for pipeline engineering and facilities design activities in Engineering and EPCM projects. The role includes providing technical expertise and project deliverables to support successful project execution.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure engineering activities meet company and contract requirements while supporting overall project schedules.
  • Comply with and adhere to engineering procedures and related work control documentation.
  • Represent the company, project team, and/or engineering department during bid processes, project scope development, client meetings, and project management discussions.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Perform periodic field reviews of construction activities and provide on-site decision-making and RFI (Request for Information) responses.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Licensed as a professional engineer with the ability to stamp in Texas, Massachusetts, and Tennessee.
  • Competent knowledge of applicable regulations, including CSA Z662, ASME, and API codes related to pipeline and facilities engineering.
  • 515 years of experience in pipeline engineering and/or pipeline facilities engineering, such as valve sites, barrel sites, meter stations, compressor stations, and pump station piping.

SKILLS

  • Strong technical engineering skills with the ability to work collaboratively across engineering disciplines.
  • Familiarity with regulations, standards, and acceptable industry practices, including CSA, ASME, and API codes.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to engage effectively with peers, project managers, site managers, and clients.
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement as a design engineer, with the ability to lead or contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to manage and lead teams of varying sizes.
  • Proficiency in planning, managing, and prioritizing work independently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT Lauren Services offers a hybrid work environment, and this role can be based out of our Vancouver, Kelowna, or Calgary offices, with flexibility for remote work.
