Job Description:
Are you an experienced - or aspiring - property restoration technician looking for your next opportunity? We are currently seeking a motivated Property Restoration Technician to join our growing team at ServiceMaster of the Valley in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. If you have a passion for helping people restore their homes and businesses after damage, we want to hear from you!
Job Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency property restoration calls, including water, fire, storm, and mould damage
• Perform site assessments and damage evaluations
• Operate and maintain specialized restoration equipment (e.g., dehumidifiers, air movers, extractors)
• Execute structural drying, demolition, and repair tasks as needed
• Communicate with customers to provide updates and ensure satisfaction throughout the restoration process
• Work with insurance companies to assist with claims processing
• Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures at all times
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and materials used

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong knowledge of water, fire, mold remediation, and general restoration processes is an asset, but we will train
• IICRC certifications in water damage, fire damage, or mold remediation are a plus, but not required
• Familiarity with hand and power tools, drying equipment, deodorization treatments and other methods used in restoration projects
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and customer service-oriented attitude
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary and Benefits:

• Wages will depend on experience, but starting salary will range from $17-$20 per hour
