Administrative Assistant:
Location: Nanaimo, BC | Full-Time, Permanent

Atlas Engineered Products (AEP), located in central Nanaimo, provides professional design services, supplies engineered wood products, and manufactures roof and floor trusses for contractors, builders, and homeowners. We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Administrative Assistant to support our operations across BC. This role is based in our Nanaimo office.

About the Role:
The administrative assistant will play a key role in managing front-facing customer service functions, coordinating office administration tasks, and supporting various internal teams. This role requires strong organizational skills, a customer-first attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As the first point of contact for customers and partners, the Receptionist will be a key liaison between our sales, production, design, and shipping teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk & Customer Service
    • Greet visitors, answer inquiries, and direct calls using a multi-line phone system
    • Provide exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
    • Manage front desk operations to ensure efficiency and professionalism
    • De-escalate conflicts and resolve customer concerns with professionalism and tact
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist with scheduling, document management, and general office organization
    • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
    • Monitor office supplies and ensure timely replenishment
    • Support internal teams with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in reception or administrative support (experience in construction, manufacturing, or related industries is an asset)
  • Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage a multi-line phone system and direct inquiries effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to provide a current Police or RCMP Criminal Record Check
