POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Housing Supervisor, you will assume a multifaceted position, orchestrating the daily symphony of life for adults with disabilities in a supportive and nurturing environment. Your key responsibilities will include coaching and inspiring your dedicated staff team, as well as co-designing, with the individuals you support, innovative, personalized goals, ensuring that they truly shine in alignment with Kinsight's mission and vision.
Think of yourself as the guardian of quality, diligently upholding compliance with funding agencies, safety regulations, and licensing requirementsall while supporting individuals with disabilities to lead flourishing lives within their communities. Armed with your incredible flexibility, you'll zip between various locations, providing assistance precisely when it's needed most.
Plus, you will dive into the dynamic realm of on-call coordination, stepping up to the challenge whenever the Associate Director gives you the signal.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Certificate in Human Services or Community Support Work or Equivalent
Current Community Care First Aid/CPR, MANDT and Food Safe certificates
Class 4 drivers license preferred
Access to and use of a personal vehicle
Maintain a satisfactory criminal record check throughout employment
Requires union membership
EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
A minimum of three years of experience in a residential setting supporting individuals with an intellectual disability;
One year supervisory or administrative experience including experience in budgeting and statistical record keeping;
Excellent written and oral communication;
Time management and organizational skills;
Demonstrated Leadership abilities;
Knowledge of current theory, principles and practices in the field;
Ability to interact effectively with individuals and families;
Must be able to obtain CCF Licensing PIC status
PREFERRED:
Courses/workshops in supervision and financial management, administration, teaching life skills, behavior management techniques, basic counselling. Knowledge of computers and MS/Office software, ability to use alternative communication systems.
