Position: First Aid Training Course Developer

Employment: Full-time

Location:Remote

Salary: $65,000-75,000 to start, DOE

In order to meet our increased demand for training, Worksite Safety Compliance Centre is expanding our health and safety training offering and is looking for a full-time first aid/CPR expert to develop our own first aid program. In this role you will be the internal subject matter expert on all things first aid training and will be developing Worksite's first aid course and supporting the design team in creating the training materials. If you have experience delivering first aid training, and have developed course curriculum, then this role is for you!

The key responsibilities of this full-time position will initially be focused on:

  • Developing a basic and intermediate first aid training program in accordance with the criteria in the CSA Z1210:24 First aid training for the workplace standard
  • Establishing policies and procedures for the training environment, training materials and training equipment
  • Creating an instructor training program
  • Submitting Worksite's newly developed first aid training programs to the provincial regulatory bodies across Canada, and seeing through the applications to approval status
  • Working with Worksite's design and instructional design team to develop training collateral including slide decks, videos, images, eLearning, instructor guide and student materials

The right candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • 3+ years experience delivering first aid training
  • Experience developing health and safety curriculum, first aid training program preferred
  • Experience working with stakeholder groups including the CSA, WSIB, WorkSafe BC, Alberta OH&S, etc.
  • Strong interest educating people and developing training programs
  • Work experience or certification in occupational health & safety preferred
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team
  • Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
  • Valid Ontarios Driver License - occasional travel by car for work
  • Able to legally work in Canada
