Smart Skin is seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Scientist to join our team and play a key role in discovering valuable insights from large datasets and enhancing our product offerings with high-quality prediction and detection systems.

As SmartSkins Data Scientist you will:

  • Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques, including deep learning and clustering algorithms, to uncover hidden patterns in data
  • Develop innovative data mining strategies and leverage industry-leading approaches to enhance our data analysis capabilities
  • Integrate third-party data sources to enrich our existing datasets and drive more informed decisions
  • Optimize and engineer feature selection and build robust classifiers to build new and improve existing prediction systems
  • Implement and automate anomaly detection systems, continuously monitoring and enhancing their performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate findings and ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Perform Ad-hoc analyses, visualizations and reports

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Background in Data Science, Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data science, or a related scientific, development or statistical role, with a proven track record applying machine learning techniques
  • Proficiency in cloud computing and experience with data pipelines in AWS, GCP, or Azure environments
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and methodologies like feature engineering, CRISP(ML)Q, and deep learning
  • Familiarity with data science toolkits like R, scikit-learn/NumPy, and associated programming languages for data analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools and querying languages (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Working knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, and others.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner
