You'll Do:
- Performing timber reconnaissance
- Designing roads and cut blocks
- Administrating and supervising contracts (layout, cruising, and site assessments)
- Liaising with the Government and Indigenous Peoples
- Consulting stakeholders
- Incorporating social and cultural values into harvest area designs
- Preparing and submitting appraisals and cutting/road permit applications
- Developing Site Plans
You have:
- A forestry degree or diploma
- A Registered Professional Forester or Technologist Designation (RPF or RFT), with the Association of BC Forest Professionals (ABCFP) or the College of Alberta Professional Foresters
- Relevant field experience in planning (cruising, layout, and site plans)
- Experience with Arc map and information management systems
- A working knowledge of the appraisal system and timber cruising
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Compensation Package:
- The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The yearly salary range is between $68,000 and $90,000.
