Smart Skin is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented System Administrator to help build and strengthen our IT processes. This role is responsible for providing technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. The Systems Administrator will:
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming IT queries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain company hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Support and manage user accounts, access permissions, and security settings.
- Assist in software deployment, updates, and patches.
- Maintain IT documentation, including system configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate on system improvements and technology implementations.
- Educate and train employees on IT best practices and security policies.
- Contribute to IT security initiatives, including efforts toward SOC2 compliance.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT support when necessary.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Experience with Google Workspace administration and support.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
- Previous experience with compliance certifications (SOC2/ISO27001) are a plus.
- The capability to work in-person at SmartSkins head office in Fredericton, NB.
