Position Summary:

The successful candidate will join our Billing team and will be responsible for reviewing daily activity reports, and generating invoices. Other responsibilities include working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve all billing-related matters, process optimization, and providing reports for consulting teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate positive working relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Maintain efficiency & quality of billing process by ensuring customers' needs are responded to appropriately and within targets.
  • Complete invoices in the system and send them to the customer in the manner dictated by the customer.
  • Update customer portals as required.
  • Compile monthly billing packages including billing reports, invoices, and the status of account receivables.
  • Liaison with internal regional billing/reconciliation teams & major account program leads to generate invoices ensuring that all time and expenses are billed in accordance with contract terms.
  • Prepare work-in-progress reports for management.
  • Processing, inputting, and finalizing pre-bills.
  • Submitting high volumes of final monthly bills to clients, on time and with accuracy
  • Monitoring and reviewing the billing system for accurate client bill rates

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of billing experience in the professional services sector, including experience in project accounting and a good understanding of revenue recognition principles
  • Knowledge and experience with JDE will be an asset
  • University or College degree in business and finance preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Word and advanced Excel proficiency in developing and preparing reports and project analysis
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to articulate and communicate in a clear, fact-based manner, including relaying financial information to a non-financial audience
  • Strong attention to detail is crucial for this role
