What You Will Do
We're seeking an experienced team lead, with a proven track record as a Senior Engineer, to serve as a key manger for the back office team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation within the back-office development team. Reporting to the CTO, you'll be instrumental in executing against our product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Oversight: Guide architectural decisions, review code, and ensure best practices in software development, security, and performance optimization.
  • Objectives Management: Oversee timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of development initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units, product managers, and IT teams to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and prioritize development efforts.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance development workflows, automate processes, and implement best practices for software lifecycle management.
  • Risk Management: Proactively assess potential technical and operational risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Innovation & Strategy: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of back-office systems.
Essential Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Excellent knowledge C# .NET, MVC, Entity Framework.
  • Proven ability to manage development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate between technical and business needs
  • Experience with modern development practices and tooling
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience managing and mentoring other developers
  • Excellent knowledge of Unit Testing using xUnit or other similar tools
  • Database Design/Development with Relational/Non-relational DBs (such as Postgres, MS SQL, MongoDB)
