Job DescriptionJob Description:Salary: 45000-55000 per year Nature Of The Work We are seeking an individual for our Labor Coordinator role in our Operations Department. Position Summary The Labor Coordinator plans and manages the execution of Allwest customer projects labour allocations in a manner which delivers outstanding customer success while achieving Allwest business objectives for safety, cost, profitability and our desired work environment and culture. Job ResponsibilitiesAllocate and direct installation teams to ensure a safe, timely, and quality installation of product;Develop and maintain personnel, equipment, and logistics to ensure that all work is properly forecasted, scheduled, implemented, and documented;Leads operational project set-up, including the review of project drawings, specifications, and project scope, and communicates/coordinates scope with Field Operations Supervisor and Team Leads (Technical control remains with the Team Leads);Assists in accurate installation costing and develops all necessary installation schedules, costs, logistics, and quality control elements;Maintains systems to ensure that project scope, schedules, and budgets are accurately planned, monitored, and achieved and oversee the Operations Calendar;Maintains close contact and liaison with other members of Operations team including office and field personnel to continuously collect project information;Liaises with the primary client to develop/enhance strong working relationships;Contracts subcontractors as required;Manages per diemsCompletes other duties as assigned/as required. Primary Interactions: CustomersContractorsInternal and External Installation CrewsSuppliersAllwest staff and management Position is based on a 40-hour work week; however incumbent may be required to work outside of regular hours to meet business requirements.Subject to Manager pre-approval, position is eligible for overtime compensation. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesHigh School Diploma;3 to 6 years' progressive operations or dispatch experience within a fast-paced environment;Proficient in MS Office, primarily Excel, and scheduling software;Knowledge of installation procedures and ability to effectively review routine installations, as well as receiving/completing standard paperwork protocols;Demonstrated ability to manage projects and client requests;Strong customer service attitude and commitment to providing exceptional customer service and quality results;Attentiveness to details with ability to self-audit and manage a diverse workload within a fast-paced environment with changing multiple priorities and frequent interruptions;Excellent organizational skills and time-management skills with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet multiple deadlines;Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision;Effective verbal and written communications skills to understand, comprehend, and comply with all job requirements;Demonstrated effective problem-solving, decision making and proactive, positive Yes I Can attitude;Demonstrated positive approach to continuous improvement opportunities and activities;Ability and willingness to work outside of regular business hours to meet business requirements;A clean andvalid driver's license is preferred;Previous experience working with window covering, moveable walls, and/or commercial furnishings is a strong asset. BackgroundThe typical minimum level of education to perform this job competently is equivalent to high school completion or partial high school with specialized training. The person can read text of medium difficulty requiring an understanding of basic concepts. He/she may be expected to write text intended to communicate non-technical information and, display command of spelling, grammar, punctuation and basic composition. People working at this level can be required to have certain specialized skills, and be able to comprehend somewhat complicated procedures.Directly/indirectly related work experience representing continuous learning and required for someone to perform this job competently is three to six years.Ongoing work assignments typically have clearly defined goals, but no (or minimal) direction with respect to what action steps to follow. The incumbent's education, training, and previous experience will help ensure that the goal of the assignment can be clearly defined and understood (even if that means just knowing what relevant questions to ask), but the required/optional approaches to achieving the goal will often remain unclear, undefined and/or untested until the work assignment is well underway.
