JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Operations Associates are an essential ingredient to the success of our leagues. They go above and beyond each afternoon and evening to ensure 100% of the games are played each day!
Your time will be split: (a) on-site at league venues and (b) in-office: helping with operations tasks and projects.
The majority of your time will be spent focusing on the following:
- Dealing with league issues and venue cancellations (refunds, rescheduling, communication).
- Assisting with execution of leagues/events, ensuring all games run smoothly and efficiently.
- Ensuring that 100% of league games get played each day.
- Assisting with pooling, scheduling and posting of schedules for all programs.
- Assisting with equipment management (dropping off equipment to JAM venues)
- Assisting with management of the JAM t-shirt program.
- Assisting with other operational and customer experience tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
High Energy
- Extremely upbeat and positive!
- Willingness to approach and chat with our vendors, facility partners etc. and maintain positive relationships with all contacts.
Details, Details, Details
- Taking care of the little details first makes putting on a big show easy!
- Must have incredible attention to detail and be a quick learner!
Go Getter
- Be confident and motivated to call on and/or meet/work/deal with members, head office staff, and facility staff.
- Hardworking attitude. You are known for taking initiative.
Think Outside the Box Mentality
- Were not looking for mediocre and old-school here. We want someone who has fresh ideas, can work on their own without being micromanaged.
Perfectly Seasoned
- We are looking for someone who has past experience in operations and customer service.
Well Spoken & Written
- You will need to be able to clearly articulate and communicate with the team on a day to day basis.
- Knowledge of a wide variety of sports rules and formats is an asset!
Quick On Your Feet
- Confidence in your ability to take control of a situation with a flair for being resourceful.
- Strengths in planning, decision making, and creative problem solving.
Driver's License
- Valid G Driver's license is mandatory
EXPECTED HOURS
- You will be working 40 hours per week.
- Initially, your time you will be a mix of days that are 1:00-9:00pm and 9:00am-5:00pm. Schedules will be set ahead of time.
- JAM operates under a hybrid work model, with time split between in-office and remote work. You will be expected to be in the office likely 3 days a week at minimum located at Mount Pleasant/Eglinton in Toronto, ON.
COMPENSATION
- $40,000-$45,000 CAD annual salary
- 10 Vacation Days and 10 Personal Days to start
- Eligible for full benefits after 3 months

- GO PLAY Days during the summer months
- Complimentary league play (we practice what we preach)
