Job DescriptionThe Environmental Services Manager is responsible for ensuring the Environmental Services Division is safely operating to maximum productivity by managing the day to day activities of the business and its employees.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Environmental Services local division, including P&L responsibility, CAPEX & OPEX management, managing personnel, overseeing the locations operations, implement IMS standards for operations, coordinate logistics, maintain equipment, and provide feedback to the location Operations
Manager to improve the technical capabilities of the tools, efficiency of processes, and safety
requirements. - Maintain adequate, trained and motivated personnel to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and all government health, safety, and fair employment practices.
- With assistance from HR and corporate management: recruit, hire and effectively train employees, evaluate employee's performance, recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.
- Support direct reports to ensure jobs are executed cost effectively and delivered on time in accordance to customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Determine the need for equipment and supplies and maintain appropriate levels of inventory.
- Work with corporate management to prepare bids for all services and products.
- Work in compliance with and enforce the company QHSE policies and procedures.
- Responsible for planning and organizing operations and priorities to achieve delivery of product and service to customers.
- Interface daily with all functional supervisors within the operation to ensure district objectives are supported and achieved.
Other duties and special projects as assigned by local or corporate management including but not limited to:
- Identify and implement continual improvement opportunities for Environmental Services equipment.
- Responsible for the management of all rental equipment, chemicals, and shaker screens associated with Environmental Services.
- Responsible for the management of all business development opportunities associated with Environmental Services.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure adequate staffing levels are scheduled and maintained to meet operational requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Environmental Services
- Proven track record growing a new location and expanding a business preferred.
- Required to meet all standards required for safe operations, including but not limited to the standards set forth in the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers Atlantic Canada Medical Assessment for Fitness to Work Offshore as well as any other standards set forth by regulatory bodies having jurisdiction over the operations.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to liaise with customers at all operational and management levels.
- Should have strong PC skills to include all MS Office products
- Ability to read and write English
