Reporting directly to the Events Director, the Junior Event Producer will lead the planning and execution of assigned events, while working closely with the core events team. This award winning team bolsters a portfolio of events including National Indigenous Peoples Day, Car Free Day Surrey, Khatsahlano Street Party, as well as Metro Vancouver & TransLink at the PNE. The Junior Producer will also provide organizational support to the MRG Live in Eastern Canada as we work to build a Toronto based Festivals & Events team.

Key Responsibilities
- Planning & Budgeting: Manage timelines, schedules, task lists, and budgets.
- Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Handle meetings, presentations, contracts, and permits.
- Logistics & Operations: Oversee transportation, parking, street closures, and production deliverables.
- Financial Management: Process invoices, payments, and talent deposits.
- Risk Management: Develop contingency plans and resolve conflicts.
- Post-Event Reporting: Create reports and suggest improvements.
- Administrative Support: Manage calendars, meetings, and general tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- 2-4 years in large-scale event planning as a manager/promoter
- Class 5 Driver's License & access to a vehicle (required)
- Certificate in Event Planning, Hospitality Management, Project Management, or Event Production (asset)
- Experience managing project teams and contractors
- Proven success in handling large project budgets
- Comfortable with G Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge Areas: Event permitting, insurance, risk management, and sponsorship relationships (assets)
- Experience with Stakeholders: Government clients, boards, and committees (asset)
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods
