Project background information:
Power Platform M&S project aims to provide comprehensive maintenance and support services for
applications built on the Microsoft Power Platform. The Power Platform includes Power
Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents, which are used to create
custom business solutions, automate workflows, analyze data, and build chatbots.
Ensure Application Stability: Regular monitoring and maintenance to ensure the
applications run smoothly and efficiently.
User Support: Provide timely and effective support to users, addressing any
issues or queries they may have.
Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize the performance of the
applications to enhance user experience.
Security and Compliance: Ensure that all applications comply with security
standards and regulations.
Updates and Enhancements: Implement updates and enhancements to keep
the applications up-to-date with the latest features and improvements
Planned release cycles through out the year that requires comprehensive build and test activities in the non-production environment to ensure seamless deployments to the production environment. The maintenance release deployments ensure modern, effective, and secure systems are in place to support the day-to-day tracking of line of business applications.
Production and non-production environment support, including, application availability and monitoring checks as per service level agreement, troubleshooting high priority production issues, keeping the lights-on, addressing service requests, incidents, change requests, application deployments, configuration, and support.
Deliverables:
- Support business-critical Microsoft Power Platform based applications in production and non-production environments
- Build and test, production deployment, change request, and release management
- Test, implement and document application and database design specifications and changes
- Post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues
- Design walkthrough sessions with project team
- Manage and track all incident, problem and service requests and coordinate with other support teams
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Reporting Manager
Skill set requirements:
· Extensive development experience of Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents, Dynamics CRM, Office 365, .NET, C# technologies
- Experience with application / database design, UML, and modeling tools
- Experience with Agile software development process with MS Azure DevOps and Visual Studio Tools
- Experience with Microsoft Unit Testing tools in Visual Studio
- Extensive TSQL and MS SQL Server database experience
- Extensive experience with support and maintenance of Power Apps and Power Pages solutions
- Experience of conducting application assessment and defining application M&S transition readiness
- Experience with incident, problem, service request, release and change management
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
· Public sector experience would be an asset
