Role: This is a data oriented role that is focused on turning large datasets into product innovation, industry analysis, and actionable insights for brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research to understand the challenges and opportunities faced by merchants with a gross merchandise volume (GMV) of $20+ million per year, especially those selling on Shopify.
  • Collaborate with merchants to identify actionable data-powered insights that can enhance their e-commerce performance and improve overall business outcomes.
  • Analyze industry trends and data to provide insights that are beneficial not only to individual merchants, but also to the broader e-commerce industry. Examples of this include projects like dtcci.co and dtcindex.com.
  • Develop comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in e-commerce and digital marketing.
  • Systematize insights and create scalable solutions that can be utilized by hundreds of merchants to drive collective success.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in an insights role at a large brand or agency, preferably within the e-commerce or digital commerce sector.
  • Deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by large merchants on Shopify.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R for data analysis and modeling.
  • Experience working with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively present findings to diverse audiences.
  • Passion for e-commerce and a strong desire to empower merchants with valuable insights.

Compensation:

We are open to exploring many different levels of experience for the role. We offer a starting base salary of $130,000 - $175,000 CAD depending on experience and skills.

We take a holistic approach to compensation at Stamped. Total compensation includes Salary, benefits, RRSP, ESPP, an annual education allowance and other perks.
