One of our automotive clients in Newmarket, ON region is looking for a PLC Programmer for their facility.

Pay - $35 to $38per hour

Shift - Night

• Installation & Setup: Install and configure control systems, sensors, and automation equipment.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve issues in control circuits, PLCs, motor controllers, and other automation components.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance to minimize system downtime.
• System Upgrades: Modify and upgrade existing control systems to improve efficiency and performance.
• Wiring & Calibration: Ensure proper wiring, calibration, and testing of control devices and instruments.
• Technical Support: Provide support to operations and maintenance teams on control system functions.
• Documentation: Maintain records of system modifications, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is done according to industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.

• Education: Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in industrial control systems or automation preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SCADA and HMI systems.
  • Understanding of motor controls, VFDs, and industrial networks.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills
