We are seeking skilled and vigilant Patrol Guards to protect a prestigious Commercial Tower in Hamilton. As a Patrol Guard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment through proactive monitoring, strategic patrol routines, and swift response to incidents. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of tenants, visitors, and assets within the premises.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Front Desk presence and helpfulness
• Frequent liaison with tenants, contractors and property management personnel
• Regular Patrols, Responding to Security-Related Incidents, Access Control w/ Contractors/Visitor Coordination & CCTV monitoring
• Handling risk assessment & Emergency Lockdown or Evacuation Procedures
• De-escalating situations
• Maintains a rapport with Tenants, Contractors, Emergency Services and Building Management Personnel
• Management and maintenance of Security Systems

Skills/Qualifications:

• Valid Ontario Security License and First Aid/CPR
• Preferably 2 years of experience in security and 1+ year customer service in security.
• Friendly, Welcoming service to the visiting public/tenants seeking direction, information or assistance
• Security-minded with keen observation and detailed reporting skills
• Conflict Resolution and De-escalation skills
• Demonstrated ability to prepare professional daily and/or incident security reports with meticulous detail and grammar
• 'Remarkable' Service Culture that goes beyond basic training modules
• Nice to have Use of Force training.
• Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act (TPA), Canada Criminal Code and 494(c)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Military/Law Enforcement background is an asset
• Police Foundation/Law Enforcement educational background is an asset
