We are looking for motivated Program Support Workers to join our Language team! Not sure if you're 100% qualified? We encourage you to apply anyway!

POSITION FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the Manager, the Program Support Worker, provides administrative and student services support for the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support for reports, client/student records, and forms. Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to client/student information.
  • Provide general orientation to the facilities for clients/students/community partners/stakeholders both in person and over the phone.
  • May document client activities in database(s), or document and collect data to produce contractual reports or statistics for funders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Office Management/Business Administration diploma/certificates and/or appropriate combination of experience and training.
  • One year minimum of related experience.
  • The candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts as needed.
  • Criminal record check required.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and standard office equipment.
  • Excellent Customer service skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Arabic, Farsi, Dari, or Pashtun will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge about the Immigration Contribution Agreement Reporting Environment system (iCARE) and OCASI Client Management System (OCMS) will be considered an asset.
  • Efficient organizational abilities: able to set priorities and meet deadlines; able to multi-task.
  • Able to work independently and with a team.
  • Must possess sound judgement and initiative.
  • Experience and sensitivity to and understanding of the needs of immigrant populations and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

COMPENSATION: $24.82 -$25.70 per hour

HOURS:

Two positions available, Fixed-term ends March 31, 2026

full-time 35 hours per week (mornings, afternoons, and evenings)

part-time 27 hours per week (mornings, afternoons, and evenings)

The successful candidates must be able to commute to the designated work site locations in Metro Vancouver.

BENEFITS: A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
