JOB SUMMARY

As a Parts Clerk at Mid-West Truck & Trailer Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Parts Department by ensuring the smooth handling of parts inventory. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who is eager to learn and grow within the automotive or truck industry. You will work closely with the Parts Advisors and Service & Parts Consultants, helping to maintain accurate inventory records, fulfill orders, and provide excellent service to both our external vendors and internal teams.

REQUIREMENTS OF ROLE

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in an automotive or truck dealership is a plus.

Skills:

  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn company software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.

Other: A valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing parts and supplies. Help with regular inventory counts and ensure accurate inventory records.

Order Fulfillment: Prepare and package parts for pick-up or delivery, and assist in fulfilling parts requests from the service department.

Customer Service: Provide courteous and efficient service to Managers and Employees, helping them find the parts they need and answering basic inquiries.

Data Entry: Enter parts data into the computer system to maintain up-to-date inventory records.

Parts Room Maintenance: Keep the parts room neat, organized, and safe, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Support: Assist with various tasks, such as preparing quotes, processing returns, and handling warranty parts.

Shipping & Receiving: Assist with the receipt of incoming stock and the preparation of outgoing shipments, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.

Collaboration: Work closely with the service department to ensure timely delivery of parts and clear communication regarding any issues or delays.
