Join Our Team as a Medical Administrative Administrator!
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Position Type: 12-month contract, Full-Time Schedule: Monday to Friday
Are you a highly organized, independent and detail-oriented professional passionate about administrative excellence in healthcare? The Regional Fertility Program is seeking a dedicated Medical Administrator to support our physicians in delivering best-in-class patient care. This non-patient-facing role focuses on administrative coordination to ensure the seamless operation of our clinic.
As a Medical Administrator, you will provide direct administrative support to physicians, manage schedules, and assist with essential office functions. If you have a strong background in medical administration and thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level administrative support to designated physicians.
- Manage and coordinate physician schedules efficiently.
- Handle medical billing, MSP claims, and insurance documentation.
- Assist with clinic-related administrative duties, including ordering supplies and coordinating communications.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with clinic policies.
- Offer cross-coverage support as needed to ensure seamless administrative operations.
- Non-patient-facing medical role
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of medical administrative experience, preferably supporting a physician.
- Education:
- A Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certificate is preferred but not required.
- Experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is an asset but not mandatory.
- Expertise:
- Strong administrative background, including medical billing and scheduling.
- Familiarity with Connect Care and Alberta Netcare systems is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in a non-patient-facing medical role is a strong advantage.
- Additional Considerations:
- Candidates with strong administrative experience in other industries (e.g., finance, payroll, office management) are encouraged to apply if they have transferable skills.
