Purpose of the Role

As a Global Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the centralized financial management of the Content Bloom Group. You will oversee financial operations, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and provide strategic insights that drive business decisions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Consolidation Prepare and deliver consolidated financial reports before the 10th of each month, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards.

Financial Analysis & Insights Analyze the Income Statement (IS) and Balance Sheet (BS) to identify trends, assess asset lifetimes, detect accounting issues, and provide meaningful financial insights.

Process Optimization & Issue Resolution Identify and rectify discrepancies in financial reports, improving reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Business Forecasting & Planning Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning to optimize company performance.

Dependency & Risk Management Drive financial dependencies and mitigation strategies to ensure business deadlines and objectives are met.

OECD Transfer Pricing & Compliance Quickly ramp up on OECD transfer pricing fundamentals and ensure adherence to financial regulations.

Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration Work closely with internal teams, leadership, and external partners to align financial processes with business needs.

Workload Management During Critical Periods Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed to brainstorm solutions, optimize processes, and ensure deadlines are met.

Finance Strategy & Business Growth Support Provide financial insights that inform Content Blooms growth strategy and operational improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience 5+ years in finance, accounting, or a related field, with experience in financial reporting and analysis.

Education Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, CFA, or similar certification is a plus.

Technical Skills Strong understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and business analytics. Proficiency with financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Excel, Power BI).

Attention to Detail Quality-minded and able to identify and correct discrepancies in financial reports.

Analytical Thinking Ability to interpret financial data, assess risks, and provide strategic recommendations.

Business Acumen Understanding of financial dependencies and their impact on business operations.

Problem-Solving & Initiative Proactive in identifying financial challenges and driving solutions.

Work Ethic Dedicated, reliable, and willing to commit to extra hours during critical reporting periods.

Location Requirement Must be Halifax/Bedford-based, with daily in-office attendance.
