The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for a Warehouse Coordinator.

Be a part of Canadas only Major League Baseball Club, the Toronto Blue Jays! Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Warehouse Coordinator will play a large role in our commitment to deliver an exceptional fan experience. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, both physical and systematically by monitoring, validating, and tracking all inventory movements. The successful candidate will continuously strive to achieve quality and accuracy of inventory, by adhering to and enforcing all inventory-related departmental processes. RESPONSIBILITIES

With the support from and in collaboration with the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Inventory Management

  • Work cross-functionally with Buying, Vendors, and within Warehouse to coordinate delivery appointments and inventory flow that best maximizes efficiency.
  • Track and account for all in-bound receiving and accurately record information into the inventory management system.
  • Ensure accurate set-up, maintenance, and entry of item records (i.e. accuracy of quantity, price, and UPC), warehouse location maintenance, replenishment, and cycle counts.
  • Record data in Yellow Dog from daily inventory counts and cycle counts in accordance with internal policies.
  • Investigate and escalate inventory discrepancies with management. This includes the existence, cause, and resolution of inventory variances.
  • Coordinate control of damaged and defective product, ensuring any inventory changes are accounted for, and properly processed, and communicated with management.
  • Provide feedback and where necessary, report to management regarding operational accuracy from the results of inbound and outbound audits, inventory counts, and system related user errors.
  • Report inventory control activity and performance results as further defined by management.
  • Assist where necessary in training warehouse team leads and warehouse associates.

Internal Partner Request Program

  • Coordinate product picking & distribution with Warehouse Team Lead(s) as well as, buying and retail where necessary.
  • Process movement of inventory via a transfer in the inventory management system.

Accounts Payable

  • Responsible for collaborating with finance, buying, and vendor partners to verify and reconcile invoice discrepancies for both Merchandising and Non-Merchandising business units.
  • Input warehouse office expenses via budget tracker with direction from Warehouse Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Merchandise Warehouse Coordinator must be able to work all 75-81 home games (evenings, weekends, and holidays) and other Rogers Centre concerts/events as required

  • Passion for sports and knowledge of the game of baseball and Toronto Blue Jays is preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years previous Inventory Management experience, preferably in a Warehouse and Logistics environment.
  • Post-secondary education in retail or business-related discipline is preferred.
  • Available to work 75-81 home games (evenings, weekends, and holidays) as required.
  • A team player that will establish, maintain, and build strong relationships and communication with vendors and internal departments to reach desired results.
  • Able to remain flexible and respond quickly to unexpected events that may arise within the Rogers Centre Sports & Live Entertainment event calendar.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Able to effectively manage time and prioritize multiple responsibilities; able to multi-task in fast-paced, high-volume environment and meet required deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills in Outlook, Excel (advanced), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge in WMS and inventory management platforms is preferred.
  • Physical stamina and mobility including ability to lift, carry, kneel, bend, and reach; Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Legally able to work in Canada
