Job Details
Salary range: $61,360 to $91,560
Shift structure: Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day
Primary location: Hybrid/Calgary
Union: Exempt
FTE: 1.0
Status: Temporary on or before April 1, 2026

About the Role:
Our Human Resources department supports CASA's commitment to promoting a productive and positive work environment for all its employees. The department reinforces HR best practices, provides guidance to employees and managers, offers interpretation of CASA's Collective Agreement and keeps staff apprised of training and professional development opportunities. As the HR Coordinator you will be the primary point of contact for all CASA employees and you will have the opportunity to assist them in a wide range of areas to ensure they are supported by the Human Resources team.
The HR Coordinator will:
  • Complete full-cycle recruitment within assigned portfolio.
  • Triage employee requests and provide direct support to employees where applicable.
  • Work with employees at all stages of the employee life cycle to address concerns and questions.
  • Assist in the creation of HR processes and mapping the HR Coordinator functions.
  • Work in tandem with the HR Business Partner to facilitate unparalleled service for your joint portfolio.
  • Process transactional documentation related to benefits and pension administration.
  • Ensure accurate entry of employee information into the HRIS (Dayforce), including new hires, transfers, salary and benefit adjustments.
  • Assist in the administration of disability benefits in collaboration with the HR Business partner.
  • Process internal transactional documentation to maintain accurate systems and records.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments within the organization, with primary partners including payroll and our HRIS departments.

Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in human resources or related field, equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a human resources role.
  • Experience with HR Information systems would be considered an asset. Experience with Dayforce is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of human resources processes, best practices and current and emerging HR trends.
  • Familiarity with Alberta employment and labour laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Conditions of Employment
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation. The position is based in Calgary but may require some travel to Edmonton.
