POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a well-rounded finance and accounting professional to support the success of the Dorado portfolio. Current business units within the Dorado portfolio are focused on the Textile and Apparel space with operations all around the world. Further acquisitions within this vertical, as well as in the broader sustainability (greentech and cleantech) space, are expected in the very near future. The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Director of Finance for the Dorado portfolio and will assist with key FP&A, full-cycle accounting, and finance operations. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in a constantly changing and growing organization.
The ideal candidate is driven to perform, is results-oriented and has a hands-on approach to solving problems. In addition, they should have excellent business acumen and attention to detail, to ensure that issues are resolved on a timely basis. The ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment will be important for success in the role.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and consolidate monthly financial packages for management and provide value-added analysis/commentary of portfolio P&L performance.
- Support the quarterly forecasting process for the portfolio, presenting key forecast changes/trends to portfolio leadership.
- Seamlessly interact with multiple currencies/jurisdictions across multiple platforms.
- Monitor cash flow of business units and initiate payments to vendors.
- Collaborate seamlessly with head office, internal and external auditors during interim reviews and year-end audits to gather and present accurate supporting documents.
- Find efficiencies on current reporting processes to ensure concise reporting and automating reports where inefficiencies are identified.
- Provide key financial metrics and insights to cross-functional leaders to support operational objectives and decision making.
- Business/Finance/Accounting degree (i.e. BBA, Comm. etc.), and completion of an accounting designation (CPA).
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced excel skills with the ability to efficiently handle large data sets and concisely present and summarize for management review.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Proactive attitude, and analytical thinker who is able to drive business initiatives end to end.
- Experience with Great Plains and SAP BPC accounting software an asset.
- Can-do attitude, ability to set goals and develop schedules to tackle completing deliverables.
