We are seeking experienced and dynamic EAL teachers to join our Youth Program team. The EAL teachers will be responsible for teaching English to non-native speakers of all levels, developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to students. Classes run Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 12:00PM. Availability must be for March 31st to April 25th.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that cater to the needs of individual students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching techniques and materials to create a dynamic learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help students achieve their language goals.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to help students overcome language barriers and achieve fluency.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with the latest teaching methods and techniques.
- Communicate regularly with students to provide updates on progress and discuss any concerns or questions they may have.
Knowledge, qualifications and experience:
- Bachelors degree in education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Possess a Languages Canada approved TEFL certificate or degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching ESL to students of all ages and levels preferred.
- Dynamic and engaging teaching style, with a passion for helping students achieve their language goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Knowledge of the latest teaching methods and techniques, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Native-level proficiency in English.
What we offer:
- Pay is dependent on experience, qualifications, and which course you are teaching:
- Hourly rates vary between $23.75 to $26.72 per hour (including prep time) and higher for specialty classes.
- Administrative duties and meetings are paid at $18.50 per hour.
